Medicinal herbs and ornamental crops start from fine seed and sensitive transplants, often without chemical protection. Beneficial microorganisms are introduced from seed and substrate through to regular leaf treatment.
Soil treatment
Treat the soil during preparation or after removing the previous crop, before tillage for a new planting or garden. Add Bio-lit or zeolite according to soil quality.
- looser soil structure that absorbs water better
- nutrients converted into forms plants can take up
- harmful microorganisms suppressed around the roots
- better germination and root development
- dEMetra Aktiv
- 6 l/ha
- Bio-lit rock dust
- as needed, depending on soil quality
Apply in the morning or evening, not in strong sun or wind.
Fine seed treatment
Seed treatment is recommended for disinfection, better germination and even emergence. Mist or spray the seed while mixing, then sow, or dry it and store in a dark place.
- SjEMe Aktiv 110 ml
- + 200 ml water + seed rate for ½ ha
- SjEMe Aktiv 250 ml
- + 500 ml water + seed rate for 1 ha
Transplant treatment
Treat transplants immediately before planting. Soaking encourages rooting and protects the plant in the first stage after transplanting.
- SjEMe Aktiv
- 110 ml + 10 l water
- Soaking
- 60–90 minutes before planting
Substrate and irrigation
Enrich container substrate with beneficial microorganisms and rock dust. If you use drip irrigation, dose microorganisms through the system as well.
- dEMetra Aktiv
- 1 l per m³ of substrate
- Rock dust
- 1–2 kg per m³ of substrate
- EM Aktiv* via drip
- 1 l per 1,000 l water, every 15–30 days
* EM Aktiv is not currently in the web shop — ask the EM Plus team about availability.
Foliar treatment
Repeat leaf treatment several times during the season, every 7 to 14 days depending on the growth stage.
- EM Aktiv Plus
- 3–5% solution per treatment
- Interval
- 7–14 days
Apply in the morning or evening, not in strong sun or wind.
